Establishing an Online IRS Account as a Sole Proprietor
If you are a sole proprietor with an employer identification number (EIN), there are many benefits to establishing an online IRS account.
For example, sole proprietors with EINs can:
• Use a business tax account.
• View name and address on file.
• Give others in the company access to the account.
• Request a tax check to see if the business is compliant.
• Access business tax transcripts.
• View outstanding balances and schedule and track payments.
• View letters and notices.
To create a new account, click HERE and then click the “Create account or sign in” button. Be sure to have your photo ID available to verify identity.
