Tax Return Filed, Now What?
Current tax return completed, taxpayer potential reaction: Thank goodness, see you next year!
While that is an understandable reaction, just a couple things to keep in mind.
• Refund? Status can be checked online (tax tip #138 Where is my refund?)
• Forget to report something? File an amended tax return
• Next year quarterly estimates could be included to consider paying (tax tip #146 What are Estimated Payments?)
• Looking to decrease paper documents? Could be time to shred some records (tax tip #13 Keeping Tax Records & #14 Record Retention Guidelines)
